Homemade Salsa

Very tasty. Quick and Easy to make. Not only is it delicious served with veggie sticks but is also a healthy tomato sauce substitute
Place the fresh tomatoes, onion, garlic, cilantro, lime or lemon juice, 2 teaspoons of cumin, 1 teaspoon of sugar (if using), and salt and pepper in a food processor. Pulse until the contents are fine and well blended.
Pour in the crushed tomatoes and chillies. Puree until almost smooth. Taste, and then add more cumin, sugar, salt and pepper, if desired. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
If refrigerated in an airtight container, this salsa will last 10 - 12 days. I also freeze it.
Note: One serving is approx. 1/4 cup.
